THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Growing up, my favorite moments were spent over winter break when the luxurious gift of time was bestowed upon little me — better known then as “Messy Jessie” for the many craft projects that blanketed our home’s hardwoods in glitter, twigs, and bits of tartan ribbon.
I’d spend whole weeks making and dreaming and hunting for the perfect presents for loved ones. I found a sense of pride in punching above my weight, poring over endless aisles and catalogs to unearth the biggest and best gifts that my budget would allow. Then and now, my holiday compass points to what is joyful, useful, beautiful, and worthwhile.
This year’s holiday gift guide is stocked accordingly with consciously considered ideas and objects that are ethical, sustainable, well-made, and filled with delight. I hope you enjoy them as you celebrate many merry moments this season.
